BECOME A COACH

Follow these simple steps to become a Special Olympics coach:

 

  1. Complete the online Coaches Interest Form.
  2. Contact your Area Director.
  3. Complete & submit the Class A Volunteer Application to Special Olympics Arizona.
  4. Take the General Orientation & Protective Behaviors online training courses.
  5. Read about the accredited Coaches Certification Program.  New coaches have a full year to become sport-specific certified.  Special Olympics Arizona is here to support your new endeavor! 

 

Steps 3 & 4 are required before anyone is able to coach Special Olympics.  These steps are known as Class A Volunteer or Level 1 Coaching Status.  Please visit our Volunteer Section for additional information on Class A Volunteers.
